This week on The Little Radio Show we talk about our favorite new (and not-so-new) Netflix shows. These include:

“One Day at a Time” is garnering a lot of attention. It’s a reboot of a 1970s/1980s hit sitcom that launched the career of Valerie Bertinelli. The new version, a Netflix original, has a mostly Hispanic cast and focuses on three generations of a Cuban-American family. Justina Machado plays the mom, a newly-separated military vet who has recently-returned from the Middle East. Of particular interest is the fact that the show marks Rita Moreno’s return to the (small) screen. We talk about our opinions on the show.

Club de Cuervos” is revisited … enough said.

And we take a look at “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” Netflix’s take on Lemony Snicket’s children’s book series. The Netflix version has Neil Patrick Harris taking the role of Count Olaf, the villain.

This week on The Little Radio Show we talk about how (some of us think that) Valentine’s Day is the most hated holiday around. In particular, we discuss the pressures surrounding the celebration, and it’s impact on our perceived social standing.

Did you know that Juan & Anjelica were married on Valentine’s Day? We learn a little more about how my co-hosts celebrate (or don’t) this important date.

What do you consider romantic? How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? Share with us!

Did you know that Comcast has an broadband internet data cap on your home internet? One of us recently had the experience of going over the limits. Learn more about what happens when you go over yours.

We take a look at the Digital Divide. Despite advances in technology, there continues to be a digital divide that separates families by access to high-speed broadband internet. It’s more than just access to internet options, but the ability and knowledge on how to use it.

Do you choose where to have coffee or lunch based on where they have good Wi-Fi? We do! And we know that many of you do as well. We talk about how this one little item has become so essential to where, and how, we spend our time.
