In this week’s episode we have an interview with food blogger Vianney Rodriguez, we take a look at the new season of “Empire,” and we talk about our personal rules in friending (and unfriending) people on social media.

Vianney Rodriguez is an award-winning food blogger, recipe creator and author. She specializes in recipes that evoke the memories of growing up in a Mexican household. Her blog is Sweet Life, and you can find the links to her social media channels from there. Her book, “Latin Twist,” provides cocktail recipes from 18 Latin American countries; it’s available on Amazon.

Fox’s runaway television hit “Empire” is back for a second season. The show follows the struggle for power in the Lyons family, all of whom are trying to take over the record company that’s supposed to be a family business. The show airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm CST.

How do you decide when to accept a friend request? when to block? Sandra, Juan and Anjelica talk about this and other “social” topics.

On this episode of The Little Radio Show we talk to a representative of Houston’s premier Latino arts community center, Talento Bilingue de Houston (TBH). We discuss some of Hollywood’s latest blockbuster productions: “Straight Outta Compton” and “Fear The Walking Dead.” And we take a jab of answering that age old question “what’s in your purse?”

In today’s episode we sit down and talk with Frida Villalobos, spokesperson for Neighborhood Centers, and take a look at Periscope, the latest “hot” tool in social media.

Neighborhood Centers is the largest non-profit in the Houston area. They recently were featured in the New York Times, in an article entitled “What Do the Poor Need? Try Asking Them.” The article takes a look at their methodology, “appreciative inquiry,” and how the approach has impacted how they work with communities in and around Houston.

Periscope is one of the live streaming apps that launched earlier this year. Owned by Twitter, it’s the preferred live streaming option for show host Anjelica. In this segment we find out why. Show links:
