This week on The Little Radio Show we talk about Ancestry.com’s new Ancestry Mexico, about the actors and actresses we love, and a spotlight on adoption in the US as part of a look at National Adoption Awareness Month.
Ancestry.com recently added 220 million searchable historical records from Mexico, including birth, marriage and death records. These records date back to the 1500s. In addition, they launched Ancestry Mexico, a Spanish-language interface for those who want to use their tools to search their family histories.
We are joined by our friend Leticia Manzano for an entertaining conversation about the actors and actresses we love, both for the “babe factor” and their acting. Among those we discuss are Denzel Washington, Matthew McConaughey, Shamar Moore, Jennifer Lopez, Merryl Streep, and Julia Roberts.
According to ChildWelfare.gov, there are more than 100,000 children in foster care waiting for permanent families. November is National Adoption Awareness Month, when social service agencies throughout the country work to educate the public about adoption. We talk with Leah Adams-Sutherland about her journey to becoming an adoptive parent, some of the things prospective adoptive parents should know, and shares some resources:
